As the world population grows up, bigger is the necessity to meet the demand for food and products and the generation of waste. Looking for cleaner production practices, the objective of this research was to compare two hierarchical methods of waste generated in the production line of a grape processing industry, from the arrival of raw materials to the output of the final product in demand to provide the best way to destine them. The waste generated was qualified and quantified. Two models of hierarchy were applied: the one requires a mathematical knowledge of the researcher, while the other, proved to be less complex. Both, when applied, proved feasible and effective in regard to the results obtained in a grape processing industry and can thus serve as a tool for a waste minimization program.Downloads
