The Brazilian Journal of Environmental Sciences (Revista Brasileira de Ciências Ambientais – RBCIAMB) publishes full articles of original scientific papers or review papers with relevance to the area of Environmental Sciences. RBCIAMB prioritizes articles with an interdisciplinary perspective. The central focus of the magazine is the discussion of issues that fall within the broad relation of society and nature, involving environmental aspects in development, technology, and conservation processes.

RBCIAMB does not publish simple diagnostics, which are applications of known techniques and constitute technical works that do not contribute to the advancement of science.

Likewise, bibliometric analyses will not be published in the journal, as it is understood that bibliometrics is a means activity, not an end. A bibliometric analysis can be published if it is included in the literature review of an article.

Papers presented at congresses must have substantial modifications and alterations for submission to the journal, with at least 50% different content.

For submissions made from 02/01/2020, the final version of the manuscript accepted for publication, must be accompanied by a complete version in English, with the authors being responsible for the translation. For articles submitted before that date, translation is recommended but not mandatory.

The content of the articles is the sole responsibility of the author (s), who declare to be responsible for any third party complaint regarding conflicts involving copyright, assuming and exempting RBCIAMB from any pending issues involving its publications. Authors who submit their articles give RBCIAMB the rights of first publication.
